Our lines of business
  • Headworks – seven major water storage dams providing water for irrigation customers, urban water authorities and the Latrobe Valley power generators
  • Eastern Irrigation – operates the Macalister gravity irrigation system and schedules water deliveries on the Macalister and Thomson Rivers and Rainbow Creek
  • Western Irrigation - the Bacchus Marsh and Werribee Irrigation Districts
  • Groundwater & Rivers - licensing people to take and use water from rivers, creeks and underground, licensing the construction of associated works (such as bores and dams) and enforcing licence conditions across southern Victoria
  • Technical and Environmental - managing our major assets such as water storage dams, major projects and environmental responsibilities
  • People and Culture - including human resources and safety

  • Our largest office is located at Maffra, close to the Gippsland Lakes, snowfields, ocean, and mountains
  • We also have main offices at Ringwood, ideally located next to the Eastern Freeway, at Werribee for those from the western side of Melbourne, and in Warrnambool
